Indonesia Releases Guidelines for Control of Cosmetics Advertising

To protect the public from misleading and disingenuous advertisements, Indonesia BPOM released “Technical Guidelines for the Control of Cosmetics Advertising” to standardize the advertising and to align with the current industry conditions. The guidelines stipulate that the advertisement notification number holder bears full responsibility to monitor and ensure the legality of advertisements. The holder can only advertise cosmetics after obtaining marketing authorization in the form of notification. Indonesia to Require Halal Certification on Products’ Labels

Stay Current: China’s Cosmetic Safety Assessment Regulatory Landscape
Under the current regulatory framework, cosmetics registrants and notifiers can continue to submit a simplified version of the safety assessment report during the registration or notification process until May 1, 2025. Following this deadline, a full version of the safety assessment will be mandated. To facilitate a smooth transition, China is planning to release a set of technical guidelines.
