ASEAN Revises and Supplements Cosmetic Ingredient Standards (2017-2018)

ASEAN held the 26th ACSB Meeting during which it revised cosmetic ingredients requirements, shortly after ASEAN released the last revision list a month ago (see news: ASEAN Added New Standards for Cosmetics Ingredients in Lists (2016-2017) on CL). ASEAN revised cosmetic ingredient requirements and added new standards detailing restricted ingredients, preservatives and UV filters. These changes will be effective from Nov 2017 (some will be effective from 2018), and suggestions can be submitted until July 31st 2017...

ASEAN revised cosmetic ingredient requirements and added new standards detailing restricted ingredients, preservatives and UV filters. These changes will be effective from Nov 2017 (some will be effective from 2018), and suggestions can be submitted until July 31st 2017.

All hair dye ingredients:

The use of hair dye ingredients for dyeing eyelashes or eyebrows will not be allowed under the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive. The following phrase will be included "the use for dyeing eyelashes and eyebrows is not permitted". In List of restricted ingredients, products are required to be labeled with the warning statement "do not use to dye eyelashes or eyebrows".
