China to Amalgamate 3 Major Cosmetic Regulatory Authorities

During the NPC (National People's Congress) conference, the State Council announced the amalgamation of 1) CFDA, 2) General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ), 3) State Administration for Industry & Commerce of the People's Republic of China (SAIC) and the simultaneous formation of the National Market Supervision and Administration Bureau in their place. This will mean that in future cosmetics will be administrated by the National Market Supervision and Administration Bureau.
