NMPA Updates Inventory of Existing Cosmetic Ingredients in China I (IECIC I)

On January 4, 2026, China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) released the third dynamic adjustment to the Inventory of Existing Cosmetic Ingredients in China I (IECIC I), effective immediately. ¹ This update officially adds three ingredients—Black Ginseng Extract, Zinc Hydrolyzed Hyaluronate, and Galactomannan—to IECIC I.

Additionally, the adjustment standardizes the Chinese names, English/INCI names and remarks for 23 existing ingredients in IECIC I to ensure regulatory consistency. The detailed revisions are presented below:
