China Seeks Public Feedback on Draft Guidelines for Anti-Hair Loss Cosmetics

On September 5, 2025, the China National Institutes for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC) released two draft technical guidelines along with their drafting descriptions, aimed at standardizing the research and evaluation of anti-hair loss cosmetics. This follows the NIFDC’s release of six technical guidelines related to hair dye, perm, and sunscreen products on July 31, 2025. The draft technical guidelines are now open for public consultation until September 20, 2025.
