From 6 June 2016 cosmetic registration in India must be submitted online.

On 30 May India Central Drug Standard Control Organization (CDACO) announced that from 06 June the registration for cosmetics have to be mandatorily filed online through its e-portal–“SUGAM” (www.cdscoonline.gov.in). This online filing service was established as a part of India’s e-Government scheme. Before cosmetic registration go online, many other services have already been rolled out to the e-portal.

However, it is worth attention that hardcopy applications are still required even after 6 June when online applications are finished. This double submission will continue until such time it is indicated otherwise. (click here to know more about India cosmetic registration procedures)
