On Dec.16, Guangdong Chamber of Daily-use Chemicals (GDCDC) approved two new group standards, detailing the test requirements of microorganism in cosmetics as well as the management specifications in the cosmetic manufacturing process. These standards are voluntary and shall take effect on January 1st, 2020.
Enterprises who propose to adopt the 2 standards should fill out the application form and self-declaration commitment to apply to the GDCDC for the full text.

Requirements on the microbiological indicators
As per Cosmetic Safety and Technical Standards (2015), all testing results analyzing the presence of heavy metals, microorganism, restricted and active ingredients in cosmetics must meet relevant requirements specified in the standards. The limitation of microbiological indicators in cosmetics are as follows:
