IFRA Launches Consultation on the 52nd Amendment to IFRA Standards

The IFRA 52nd Amendment proposes 51 new and 18 revised standards based on updated RIFM safety assessments, including its policy on Furocoumarin. Stakeholders have until June 12, 2026, to submit their comments.

On December 12, 2025, the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) officially released the consultation letter for the 52nd Amendment to the IFRA Standards. This amendment introduces updates based on the latest conclusions of the Expert Panel for Fragrance Safety and Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM) Safety Assessments. Stakeholders are invited to submit their comments by June 12, 2026.
