The testing methods of a group of restricted or banned substances used in cosmetics have been published by the China State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) on 18 January 2012.
These testing methods are:
- Testing methods of 7 banned substances in cosmetics: Minoxidil, Hydrocortisone, C24H32O4S, 1,3,5(10)-Estratrien-3-ol-17-one, Canrenone, Triamcinolone acetonide 21-acetate, Progesterone
- Testing method of Salicylic acid
- Testing method of Musk ketone
- Testing method of Mercaptoacetic acid
- Testing methods of eight phthalate esters: DnPP, DIPP, DnIPP, DMEP, BBP, DBP, DEHP and 1,2-phenyl dicarboxylic acid branched chain and straight chain pentyl esters
- Testing methods of 4-aminoazobenzene and Benzidine
- Testing methods of Benzo[A]pyrene
- Testing methods of 4-aminobiphenyl and its salts
- Testing method of Resorcine
- Testing methods of 32 restricted or banned dying ingredients in cosmetics
- Testing method of Benzalkonium chloride
- Testing method of Quinhydrone
