South Korea Consults on Cosmetic Safety Standard: Enhancing Management of UV filters, D4, D5, and Other Ingredients

On August 2, 2024, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) released a notice to solicit public opinion on the modifications of Cosmetic Safety Standard1. The authority proposed to designate one new UV filter, delete one UV filter, and enhance the usage limits of six restricted ingredients. Details are as follows:
