Taiwan to Increase Scope of Nail Cosmetic Cautionary Labeling

Takehome:

TFDA will try to pass a new regulation to force companies to increase the cautionary labeling on nail cosmetics.

TFDA held a cosmetic communication and discussion conference at the end of 2016, and mainly discussed three cases. One of them was about nail cosmetic packaging and labeling.

Cautions added on package are drawn up like:

• Remember to ventilate;
• Keep away from fire and heat sources;
• The pregnant and children under 12 shall avoid using;
•  Avoid getting on skin or into eyes and avoid taking in;
• Only for external use; visit hospital in case of eating by mistake
