Thailand has newly added 56 prohibited cosmetic ingredients, including octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4), sodium perborate, diisohexyl phthalate (DIHxP), and Tetrafluoroethylene.
On January 31, 2025, Thailand published a notification in the Royal Government Gazette announcing the addition of 56 new substances (entries 1613–1668) to its List of Prohibited Ingredients in Cosmetics. These changes, which came into effect on February 1, 2025, align Thailand’s cosmetic regulations with the latest updates to the ASEAN Cosmetics Directive (ACD) adopted during the previous ASEAN Cosmetic Committee Meetings.
