In 2021, Thailand announced the legalization of using low-THC cannabis and hemp in cosmetics. To encourage the innovation of the products added with these ingredients and facilitate business stakeholders, the Thai Food and Drug Administration issued a guideline for claims on the labels and advertisements of cosmetics containing cannabis and hemp on May 20, 2022. 1
Cosmetics that meet the conditions in the table below can use the corresponding claims, or terms with similar meanings.
