UK SAG-CS Issues Opinion on the Use of Hexyl Salicylate in Cosmetic Products

On November 13, 2025, the Scientific Advisory Group on Chemical Safety of Non-Food and Non-Medicinal Consumer Products (SAG-CS) of UK released its final opinion regarding Hexyl Salicylate (CAS No. 6259-76-3) in cosmetic applications. According to the opinion, the ingredient is considered safe for adults and children when used within the concentration limits specified for each of the assessed product categories.1
