Malaysia to Ban 3-Benzylidene Camphor from July 1 2016

Malaysia National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau (NPCB) recently announced it will ban 3-benzylidene camphor from July 1 2016. Currently it is allowed to be used under the limit of 2.0%. Indian National Green Tribunal Seeks Ban on the Use of Microbeads

The National Green Tribunal is a specialized body to handle environment disputes involving multidisciplinary issues in India. It was established under the National Green Tribunal Act 2010 on Oct. 18th 2010. Taiwan FDA to Ban Specific Estrogens in Cosmetics

Two months ago, "Taiwan Food and Drug Administration" announced a draft amendment to ban the use of estradiol, estrone and ethinyl estradiol in cosmetics from July 2016. Minister of Health and Welfare Chiang Been-huang said the FDA would evaluate the possibility of moving up the commencement date to March when he was questioned about the schedule for enforcement of that policy.

Stay Current: China’s Cosmetic Safety Assessment Regulatory Landscape
Under the current regulatory framework, cosmetics registrants and notifiers can continue to submit a simplified version of the safety assessment report during the registration or notification process until May 1, 2025. Following this deadline, a full version of the safety assessment will be mandated. To facilitate a smooth transition, China is planning to release a set of technical guidelines.
China’s Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics (STSC) and Its Updates
