China Unveils 2019 Cosmetics Supervision and Sampling Inspection Requirements

2019 national cosmetics supervision and sampling inspection will focus on 10 kinds of products, which are baby skin care products, hair dyes (oxidation hair dyes), anti-acne products, sunscreens, facial masks, body powders, domestic non-special use skin care products, hair perms/body hair removal, anti-freckle/whitening products and toothpastes.

Sampling quantity of imported cosmetics will not be less than 15%.

Note: 1. Products with ethanol contents ≥ 75% (w/w) can avoid testing microorganism;
2. The testing results of hair dyes, sunscreens and thioglycollic acids will be checked against the limits specified in the determination standard, compared with the product label and formula on the filing certificate, and marked in the result report.
