The market performance of most categories suffered. Travel-sized/experience sets performing well.
In April, travel-sized/ experience sets experienced a 70.33% increase in sales. Body makeup sales increased by 34.92%. These two categories only account for 0.28% and 0.19% of the market. Sales of eye makeup, facial makeup, and lip makeup all contracted, experiencing negative growth of -11.08%, -14.64%, and -30.08%, respectively.
Sales of many segments of male makeups suffer. Sales of male foundation increase
Only male lipstick and male foundation had positive growth rates. Sales of male foundation increased by 29.18%.
New domestic makeup brands Perfect Diary and Florasis still performed well.
Perfect Dairy still held on to pole position in the top10 list of makeup brands listed in descending order by total transaction value in April. Perfect Dairy was followed by international giant MAC. Florasis was ranked third, and its total transaction value was extremely close to MAC's. Among the top10, only three were domestic brands, while seven were international brands.
Regarding the top popular products, the top5 were from domestic brands, including Florasis, Perfect Diary, geoskincare, COLORKEY, Little Ondine. These products were trendy on Douyin (Chinese version of Tik Tok) in April. Both Perfect Diary and geoskincare cooperated with Zhu Guagua on Douyin live stream, and both achieved excellent results.

People aged 18-30 accounted for more than half of all purchases of makeup products, and people over 50 accounted for only 2.75%.
