From June 1 2016 Japan Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare permits cosmetic companies to use Tris-Biphenyl Triazine in cosmetics within specific limitations.
As stipulated, Tris-Biphenyl Triazine is classified as “restricted ingredients in all types of cosmetics” and the maximum amount is 10g per 100g.
The ingredient has been added to the Annex 4.1 “list of limitation on inclusion of UV absorbers in cosmetics” in Standards for Cosmetics. For the full list, please click here.
