ASEAN Cosmetic Directive (ACD) was updated during the 21st ASEAN Cosmetic Committee, 20th and 21st ASEAN Cosmetic Scientific Body and 4th ASEAN Cosmetic Testing Laboratory Committed Meeting. The grace periods allocated to industry to comply with new regulations must take into consideration the processes involved in complying with new regulations such as product reformulation, product development and initiation of product phase-outs. As such the Philippines Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has consulted representatives of the different sectors of the cosmetic industry through a series of regular meetings to get their feedback on a feasible and fair grace period. Adjusted grace periods as presented below are been officially used by Philippines FDA:
