Cosmetics Firms Warned for Submitting False Application
Five cosmetics companies have been rejected the issuance of Chinese Cosmetic Administrative License for submitting false application materials. The State Food and Drug Administration issued this notice on its website on 30 November 2011, giving a punishment warning to the five companies and forbidding them to re-apply the administrative licensing for their involved cosmetic products within one year as of the warning date.

Format of China Cosmetics Hygiene License
SFDA Consults on Format and Specifications of Cosmetics Hygiene License In order to implement the Regulations concerning the Hygiene Supervision over Cosmetics, China State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) published on 14 November the draft proposal on the format, specifications and application guidance for Cosmetics Manufacturing Hygiene License. Public commentary shall be returned to SFDA by 27 November 2011.

SFDA Testing Methods on Prohibited Chemicals in Cosmetics
SFDA Consults: Proposals for Testing Methods of 7 Prohibited chemicals in Cosmetics and 39 Restricted hair dyes On 4 November 2011, China's State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) issued two draft proposals for the testing methods on 7 prohibited chemicals used in cosmetics and 32 restricted/prohibited dye materials used in hair products.
