Thailand Proposes to Update Cosmetic Ingredient Regulations: 57 New Additions, 1 Revision

On July 11, 2024, the Thai Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA) launched a public consultation on the newly proposed amendments to the country's cosmetic ingredient lists, which involves the addition of 56 prohibited ingredient and one restricted ingredient, along with revision to another restricted ingredient. These changes aim to be in line with the updates to the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive adopted at the 36^th, 37^th, and 38^th ASEAN Cosmetic Scientific Body (ACSB) meeting.
