China Approves Testing Method for Cimetidine in Cosmetics

A new testing method for cimetidine in cosmetics was approved by China National Medical Products Administration.

On August 15th, 2019, China NMPA released an announcement approving a new testing method to determine the concentration of cimetidine in cosmetics [1]. The method [2] will be used to determine the content of cimetidine in cosmetics such as liquid water-based cosmetics, cream, lotion, gel and facial mask by High Performance Liquid Chromatography Method.
