On April 30, 2026, China's National Institutes for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC) issued two draft cosmetic testing methods for public consultation, introducing updated human trial approaches for substantiating the efficacy claims of skin whitening and anti-hair loss products. Stakeholders may submit their feedback through NIFDC's Cosmetics Standards Formulation and Revision Management System by June 5, 2026.1
